I am seeing similar issues with VFS URLs in EAP 6 beta 1. Are you aware of any bug reports in Jira covering this? It appears that in some cases file:/content/* type URLs can be used, but in other cases these will not work. Specifically, SLF4J was causing a local deployment some issues.
