well its currently used (in dev mode for now - as it has been worked on tomorrow/today only) and is actually running (JBoss7.2 calls to JBoss4.2.3 work without any problems so far - only a couple of those being actually used for now but still) - so i suppose the solution is fully workable - hte only down side of that solution is that each and every remote method has to be proxied (but that can be worked on in many different ways to be more elastic)
