The complexity of the command isn't really an issue. It's changing it at all that is more of a concern. Lots of tooling programatically launches an AS -- think IDEs, profilers, JON, etc. Some of those tools are sponsored by Red Hat and we can readily enough reach out to them to get them to support a different launch variation (after letting them pummel us a while.) But for many others we may have no idea they even exist.
