Hey,
there probably shouldn't be any issues with upgrading slf4j.
can you create jira for this, so we don't forget about it.
it would need some extra testing from logging guys as slf4j has broke compatibilty between 1.5 and 1.6 which was pain to mentain, so we would want to make sure it didn't happen again :)
