Sorry to reopen, but I'm still hitting this.
I think that the problem is that I'm hitting the "I won't be the merge leader" bit in MERGE3. Therefore no MERGE event is ever sent up the stack, therefore we never even get an opportunity to hit the fixed code.
Looks like the same logic needs fixing in MERGE3?
By the way, I am on holiday next week - therefore please don't think me rude if I don't reply to updates on my issues; I'm probably just not online.
