I don't believe that this issue is anything to do with SEQUENCER. I'm pretty sure that you could take it out of the stack and see the same thing.
I really recommend running my script (or otherwise automating the test). I typically have to run a few hundred iterations before hitting problems - so doing it manually a couple of times really isn't likely to prove anything either way.
I'll aim to set off a run tonight with the latest code from master, and with SEQUENCER taken out of the stack, and report back tomorrow.
