Is it normal that a connection to port 4713 lasts for an hour or more in a CLOSE_WAIT state? I am running JBoss5 in a Linux Centos server and inspect connections with netstat. Every once in while a connections shows up from JBoss to the port 4713 which I think is the JTS port for the Transaction Recovery Manager. I never detect datbase activity while this connection shows up so it is difficult to see what it is doing in anything. Woudl it cause any problems that I terminate the connection when it is in a CLOSE_WAIT state?
