1. Simulation engine replaces tasks with simulated tasks and uses the cost/resource/time simulation parameters on those.
2. BPS spec uses the BPMN2 Relationship element so BPS and BPMN2 are closely related. Currently we store the simulation information inside the process description but external storage of simulation scenario data is also possible. This is something we are looking at improving (support for multiple simulation scenarios).
