The recent upgrade to Oracle java 7 seems to have deleted java.exe from the java bin folder. Could be caused because I installed to folders other than the default. I resolved the problem by uninstall and reinstall of the java sdk. The failed upgrade was java7u15 to java7u17 on windows 7.
