Can't connect to port 1099

created by Tim Thatcher in Beginner's Corner - View the full discussion

Hi!

I'm using JBoss 5.1.0.GA (required for our application). The application requires me to connect via port 1099.

When I use 'run.bat' I'm supposed to use '-b 0.0.0.0'.

When I try the address 'localhost:1099/cmx' for our application, I get the following output:

¬í sr java.rmi.MarshalledObject|½ —ícü> I hash[ locBytest [B[ objBytesq~ xp :ÑÜur [B¬ó ø  Tà xp'¬í t http://ROCHESTER:8083/q~q~uq~ À¬í sr org.jnp.server.NamingServer_Stub  xr java.rmi.server.RemoteStubéþÜÉ‹áe  xr java.rmi.server.RemoteObjectÓa´‘ a3  xpw4 UnicastRef2ROCHESTER J)ÈÑ…|Ãvø

Any ideas why I would be seeing this? Is there any further information I can provide that would be helpful?

Sorry - brand new to JBoss.

I found a similar thread here: https://community.jboss.org/thread/78922?start=0&tstart=0

But all the server has is Windows Firewall which I disabled.

Thanks!
