I'm trying out JBoss EAP 6.1.Final that was released this week on Eclipse 4.2sr2 with JBoss Tools 4.0.1 on Mac OS X 10.7.
While on the same installation JBoss EAP 6.0.1 starts instantly, there is some delay before JBoss EAP 6.1 starts via the JBoss Tools WTP server. I didn't time it exactly, but it's about 3 to 4 seconds before there's anything logged to the console. From the point things are logged to the console JBoss EAP 6.1 starts in about 1.4 seconds, which is also the startup time reported by the server.
When using bin/standalone.sh from the commandline there is no delay.
