you've come to the right place. I'll look into the adding struts issue in our docs asap. I'll open a bug for it shortly and place a link to it in this discussion.
In terms of the 'Add Struts Support' option not working correctly, it sounds as if you may have found a bug. Best thing to do would be to open a bug here: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/JBIDE#selectedTab=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.project%3Asummary-panel
