Resolved by adding a new cache loader flag "cache.jdbc.node.useSetBlob" that
uses PreparedStatement.setBlob instead of PreparedStatement.setBinaryStream, to work
around issues with the Oracle setBinaryStream implementation and large obects.
JDBCCacheLoader doesn't work with Oracle
