AFAIK, we can stick to this version for now.

When I'm done with Branding ( https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=418809 ), I'll ask for a release of SWTBot 2.1.2 which will contain a few bug fixes. Once released, it might be worth changing it in TP.
