Good catch.

Unfortunate but seems Java 9 is not GA until Sept 22 so it should be fixed by Neon. (I hope)

Nice catch Martin! - they posted a workaround, but this is still pretty awkward.

We can still test this for the Summit release - but the product still cannot support Java9 until Java9 is GA.

Today I noticed that with the latest build of oracle jdk 1.9 [1], Eclipse Neon M7 will not start.
The issue is tracked here:

A few minutes ago that issue's target was moved to Neon.1. So if I read that correctly, it means that Neon won't be able to run on java 9 when it's released in June.
