Honestly - I don't think much can be done about this since it depends on how your machine is setup and the plugin needs to know the public IP which just need to be set once (hopefully)The tool (or plugin installation hook) could find the public IP of the machine and set it automatically. Or even do that everytime the application is packed before deployment.
