We don't allow unknown/wildcard versions of dependencies in target definition, mainly to have repeatable builds and less surprises. So you'll have to ask everytime you want a new snapshot.
Updates (without new dependencies) in TP are generally taken with a high priority, and can be available within 1 or 2 hours after the change request. I hope this will be good enough for your migration.
