Ok it seems I was mistaken. All the requirements were updated to the newest eclipse versions, and so the recent GA actually does require eclipse 3.7. It cannot be installed in an earlier eclipse.
I therefore change to suggest maintenance -> 1.3.0, and trunk -> 1.3.100
