I can't reproduce the JVM crash, but the central tests fail when using the Maven command line.
The issue happens because the IJobManager.join() method is called in the UI thread. I have fixed it in the trunk.
I suppose the issue can't be reproduced using Indigo because the tests run faster and the UISynchronizer doesn't interrupt the join method.
I can't reproduce the issue with freemarker.
