The team is pleased to announce the latest release of Narayana - the premier open source transaction manager.

The release artifacts are available from maven central.

The release notes (https://issues.redhat.com/secure/ReleaseNote.jspa?projectId=12310200&version=12390988) include a mix of bug fixes and tasks, the highlights being:

- removal of support for JDK 8 (11 is now the minimum supported version);
- removal of support for JacORB;
- support for JDK 17.

We generate comparative transaction throughput figures for each release and 5.13.0.Final performs favourably against other open source transaction managers (https://github.com/jbosstm/artifacts/blob/master/jobs/tm-comparison).

The release does not include the quickstarts but we will follow up with those as soon as we have them working with 5.13.0.Final.
