file system is configurable with the blob strategy that i've build, but that has 2
disadvantages:
1) is not clusterable
2) it requires a runtime dependency outside the db
so i don't think that is a good default.

Attachments make problems with particular db columns sizes (requires costum hibernate
mappings, on oracle even special jdbc tricks) and in general easily lead to memory
congestion. A better solution would be to work with filesystem references and on-demand
streaming.
