User id needs to be provided prior to adding comment:
processEngine.setAuthenticatedUserId("johndoe");
taskService.addTaskComment(taskId, "hi, how are you guys?")
processEngine.setAuthenticatedUserId("joesmoe");
taskService.addReplyComment(helloCommentId, "i'm doing fine, thanks");
So I think this issue can be closed.

In jBPM 4.3 when adding a comment to a task this HistoryComment does not have a user Id,
it is in this case very hard to follow comments between members of a group participating
on a task.
