In the specific case of Sybase, we have a request for the text type filed as JBPM-701. The text type was also requested for DB2 when we support it. We have at least three options. 1. Provide Sybase-specific mapping documents, as shown below. The problem with this approach is that the documents contain duplicate mappings and pose a maintenance problem. Furthermore, this option would also lead us to introduce DB2-specific mappings in the future.
