In fact you can use another available event type to capture it:

Assigning task is last thing that happens when starting a task, so you will get access to

Since the assign event will be fired whenever invoking assignTask() or takeTask(). It
will be better to declare a TASK_STARTED event.

Hmm~, Seems calling TASK_CREATED is better. This event just notice that there is a new
task has been created. As a task may be assigned/taken many times, it can be created only
once.

Just one question. should task-created fired before initializeAssignment() or after
initalizeAssignment()?
if there is assignee attribute, the initalizeAssignment will cause assign event.
if there is no assignee attribute, the initializeAssignment won't cause assign event.

in my opinion it should be fired almost at the end of the task activity execution, since
everything shall be already initialized.
As you stated before these two are completely separate events so I don't see a problem
if both events will be fired - if defined in the process definition. User can have
different actions attached to these events, especially for assignment events since they
can be fired many times.
