Thanks for clearing that up. As for spring-resteasy I already have the following note in the README.
"Currently the resteasy-spring.jar is using Spring 3.0.3, as such this quickstart needs to run on some version of Spring 3.x."
Hopefully the fix to -spring4 will be merged today. And spring-resteasy is just using -spring so that it will continue to run on Spring 3.2. Once the resteasy-spring.jar gets fixed then we can upgrade the quickstart to -spring4.
Is there anything else that I am missing?
