The DataGrid chapter introduces a new REST resource for the shopping cart. This Infinispan/JDG backed resource results in a few changes made to the front-end. Ideally, this should not be the case.

We should attempt to seamlessly switch out the backend services without affecting the frontend. This would also make it easier to update the sourcecode listings for the front end.
