If it does not require Fuse, does it work on both AS 7.1 and EAP 6.1?
Could you provide an overview of the things you had to change from the original to get it to work?

As a quick test, I tried to build this quickstart using both Maven Central and the EAP 6.1.1 repository. It failed because it could not find artifact `gnu-getopt:getopt:jar:1.0.13`.
