I'm on the very first example - helloworld
mvn doesn't appear to identity which file - but there are only HelloService.java and HelloWorldServlet.java.
my maven version is 3.0.3.But it looks like my java version is 1.6.0_51 - do I need java 7?

That sounds like a problem with maven. What file is it complaining about?
