I've filed this as an api doc error under the mojarra project, under the api category, as a P3 bug.

In the future, if could you go ahead and file such doc bugs on the API, that would be helpful - that way, all those doc bugs would be fixed for the next release - that's what P3 means.

In cases where the API itself is in error, then the appropriate place to file these bugs would be in javaserverfaces-spec-public, i.e., here:

https://javaserverfaces-spec-public.dev.java.net/servlets/ProjectIssues

That way, we won't accidentally drop any of these reports on the floor as we move forward.
