Well, we have users that don't use any password, mostly the ones that sign up for our newsletter, they're registered as users too, and the application behaves a little different for them at some points than it does for users with passwords. 

So it would be really nice to have a simple way to have that information if possible.

If you can explain what you're trying to achieve we can certainly look at adding it. IMO it should be possible to see if a user has a password set through admin console and rest endpoints.
