OK the client I'm using does talk about custom tabs but it seems to be opening the system browser, which somehow looks like an activity. Perhaps I should get into the details of how it works.
Well I just rather have a keycloak sign-in button if there was an official one. If there's none and doesn't really make much sense to have one (which I sort of agree) I guess a less ugly generic login button will just work as well.
Thanks
Actually the recommended way on Android is to use the system browser as it enables SSO and also has less security risks than embedded browser. Android supports having a tab in the application that shows the system browser.
From your last response it seems like you already have things working. The uggly button is I presume your own button in your app. So not really sure what you are asking about here?

I managed to get an OpenID Connect client to login and logout with Keycloak. On Android native applications the recommended way to login using OAuth2 or OpenID Connect is to open a temporary browser. I could just make the application login at start but I'm not sure of the implications of doing so. So far there's an ugly button.
