Brett Meyer commented on SRAMP-546:
-----------------------------------
+1 that it wouldn't really be used for anything. I'd rather beef up the actual
UI's ability to display metadata in meaningful ways, rather than support downloads,
etc. If it becomes an issue, we could always simply link to the actual REST endpoint.
Remove the ability to download XML metadata from UI

Artifact metadata displays a blank page in S-RAMP UI.
From BZ-1064846:
{quote}
The artifact meta-data is an XML file. It appears that Safari doesn't display that
very nicely, but also doesn't prompt you to download the content.
...
What about displaying metadata in the same way as artifact's source?
...
That's not a bad idea, although the feature was intended to be a "download"
vs. a "view" of that data.
Of course, it's sort of moot since I'm not really sure if that meta-data is
really useful in any case. It's not clear that users would be able to really use it
for much of anything.
I will probably either remove the feature or try to force the browser to download the
content (I believe there may be a way to do this).
