Sorry for the late response. Just got around to testing this, and it seems to be working properly now.

I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the entity ID is also parsed from metadata and that the entity ID is automatically used as the request issuer - this eliminates a decent bit of duplicate configuration that was required in 2.7.0.
