We have PLINK-186, which is about firing certain events when managing credentials. For instance, when updating a credential.

Maybe we can link this issue to that one, so users can do whatever they want from an observer. Or do you think this should be done automatically like 1.x ?

Also, I'm wondering if you can just provide a type from where you set those attributes and call IdentityManager.update to get them updated.
