As a developer, when would I use the identity management lib without the base module? This is a question that popped up while reading section 1.
It wasn't easy to get to the PL Fed docs from the link, maybe a more specific link would help.

Even better would be to include those in the same doc as this one.
In section 3.1, overview was helpful. After that, it would be good to understand the power of the library, rather that understand full details of each class and how they relate to each other.
I found the snippets in section 3.3.7.1 and 3.3.8.2 to be most illustrative in understanding what I can do with these libs.
I wonder if there is an easy way to start with that, or other usage examples and then cover details of the identity model and other details.
