That is something we've discussed and holding for some time.

I think the best solution (but with a little more change) is improve the Query API to support that. Something like:

 
                                                        IdentityQuery<User> query = identityManager.createIdentityQuery(User.class);

    query.setParameter(CREATED_DATE).lessThan(date);
    query.setParameter(CREATED_DATE).greaterThan(date);
    query.setParameter(CREATED_DATE).between(date, anotherDate);

Or even review this API and provide a more meaningful fluent API.
