First of all I'd like to apologize for the late reply. For some reason this did not come through to my inbox.

This is definitely something we've thought about. We can'd use it by default as it requires Java 11 and we still compile down to Java 8. However we are looking at the prospect of defaulting to possibly a Vert.x client.

If we can get to a point where we can require a minimum of Java 11 I definitely think we should look at this option.
