[JBoss JIRA] (RFPL-3265) Test alignment between RF templating approach and that of Resource Library Contracts
by Lukáš Fryč (JIRA)
[ https://issues.jboss.org/browse/RFPL-3265?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.... ]
Lukáš Fryč updated RFPL-3265:
-----------------------------
Summary: Test alignment between RF templating approach and that of Resource Library Contracts (was: Test alignment between RF templating approach and that of multi-templates)
> Test alignment between RF templating approach and that of Resource Library Contracts
> ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
>
> Key: RFPL-3265
> URL: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/RFPL-3265
> Project: RichFaces Planning
> Issue Type: Enhancement
> Security Level: Public(Everyone can see)
> Reporter: Matej Novotny
> Labels: jsf22
>
> Based on RFPL-2506, we need to test that RF templating approach and multi-templating in JSF 2.2 work correctly together.
> The idea is that we could test multi-templating feature in combination with RF (where we turn off skinning) to see how it cooperates and whether it affects RF components and how.
> For more information on multi-templating see this [page|http://jdevelopment.nl/jsf-22/#1142].

[JBoss JIRA] (RFPL-3263) Create tests for pass-through attributes

Lukáš Fryč commented on RFPL-3263:

I suggest to create a test in framework tests - leveraging loading of external resources (XHTML,configs..).

> Based on RFPL-2506, we need to create tests for JSF 2.2 feature - _pass-through attributes_.
> It is sensible to test this with input components and maybe some select components as well. Easiest way would to to add some more tests to Metamer, reusing the existing ones.
> More information on this feature can be found [here|http://jdevelopment.nl/jsf-22/#1089].

[JBoss JIRA] (RFPL-3263) Create tests for pass-through attributes

[ https://issues.jboss.org/browse/RFPL-3263?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.... ]
Lukáš Fryč edited comment on RFPL-3263 at 2/5/14 5:27 AM:
----------------------------------------------------------
Imho we don't need to test all our components, but rather a selected one.
All our renderers work with on same basis, use of renderer that is generated from CDK XML-template.
So I would test two scenarios:
namespace:
{code}
<rich:autocomplete p:placeholder="xyz" .... />
{code}
nested element:
{code}
<rich:autocomplete>
<f:passThroughAttribute name="placeholder" value="Enter text" />
</rich:autocomplete>
{code}
----
Note: we can expect that there can be some breakages when e.g. user leverages a passthrough attribute which is not compatible with given component. But it is hard to foresee what clashes might happen and it is user's responsibility to select appropriate component configuration - with breakages that we need to deal with we can work on case-to-case basis.

[JBoss JIRA] (RFPL-3267) Create tests for stateless views
by Matej Novotny (JIRA)

Summary: Create tests for stateless views
Key: RFPL-3267
URL: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/RFPL-3267

Reporter: Matej Novotny
Based on RFPL-2506, we need to test that our components work with _stateless views_ which were introduced in JSF 2.2.
We could probably reuse test pages from Metamer with just some tempering.
For more information on _stateless views_ see [this|http://jdevelopment.nl/jsf-22/#1055] page.

Issue Type: Enhancement
Security Level: Public (Everyone can see)
Reporter: Matej Novotny
Based on RFPL-2506, there was a new feature in JSF 2.2 allowing loading Facelets via ResourceHandler.
The task is to create a test(s) for this.
For more information see [this|http://jdevelopment.nl/jsf-22] page summarizing all JSF 2.2 news.
