So with a fresh install, there are a few traps with Java:<br>

- you can start up with -d32 to make the JVM run 32 bit, and then I<br>
have a hacked up gwt-dev-mac.jar (ping me if you need it).<br>
3) Java 6 uses more memory, and can feel a bit slower:<br>
-  -XX:+UseCompressedOops - that can help when in 64 bit (if heap &lt; 32 gig !).<br>
