I'd assume the rule regarding how to annotate a POJO for use as an event apply.

i.e. Declare a type of the same name in the same package with no members other than the applicable annotation.

I could be wrong however.

And MVEL supports the following configurations:
  • drools.dialect.mvel.strict = <true|false>


However we would recommend instead that you don't use that configuration and instead use the @typesafe annotation on class declarations. So you relax just specific classes, rather than relaxing everything.
