You can bi-drection sync git, if you know what you are doing. But these are more GIT Qs, and better asked on the GIT mailing list. However Git is distributed, so just clone and sync a p4 repo with this Git command line tool and use it as an intermediary. Then merge/mirror this intermediary with our JGit repo.
