After making the changes dont forget to delete the repository folder, other wise the db tables wont be getting created..

Points What i did
1) I had a up Guvnor.
2) Changed the Repository.xml
and also added postgresql Jar in my classpath.
3) Deleted the Repository folder
4) Started the guvnor again.

And Tables were created in the DB(Postgresql)

You are mixing your requirements.

You can configure Guvnor's use of JCR (Jackrabbit) to use a database. In this case JCR will create new tables as required by JCR.

Retrieving external data using "from" requires you, the application author, to write helper classes that can retrieve data from any source you wish using whatever technology you wish (JDBC, JPA, web services, file system etc).

sent on the move

Thank you Naman for your response...

I was reading the document you sent me and it seems that it will create new
tables for me. Am i understanding this correctly??

in my case, our application already has specified tables and i want to
connect to that database to pull/use/query data via Guvnor. I believe there
is a "From" keyword i can use to extract data from tables.

Do you think this will help me with that??

Thank you
