Arquillian 1.0.0 Alpha 1 was released today (see the announcement [1]). Seam module developers are now encouraged to officially start using it**. Hammer on it, let us know what things would make testing even easier and more effective.

Pete also pushed out a release of the Weld extensions, which includes both a logger and a classpath resource loader [2].

The combination of these two releases removes most of the outstanding barriers to ramping up Seam module development [3]. The major outstanding item that remains is Stuart's XML bean configuration module, but that's pretty close to release as well (I'll let Stuart fill in details there).

Let the games begin :)

** Keep in mind that the API may still change, but not likely in a way that would make it a challenge to update the tests.

Arquillian is the future of the integration testing (anything beyond a unit test) for Seam 3, the CDI TCK and probably the JBoss community in general (though that will take some proving).

Please give it a try and stop by the Arquillian forums if you have questions or feedback. [1] We don't have a release out yet, so you need to compile from source. We should be getting an alpha out the door pretty soon ;)

Jordan is one of the first Seam 3 module drivers to use Arquillian, so you can use his JMS module as a reference.

To test the Seam 3 JMS module I've been using JBoss Arquillian: http://community.jboss.org/en/arquillian.  It's extremely easy to use and has been working for in container testing on JBoss AS 6.0.0.M1 and now M2.  The guys heading up Arquillian have been working hard on it.
