I'm a bit late, but happy new year everybody.
On AeroGear we started a discussion on Camel support
(http://aerogear-dev.1069024.n5.nabble.com/aerogear-dev-SwitchYard-Camel-I...)
Currently Camel supports only Spring Security and Apache Shiro, I'm just curious if we
have any plans to add PicketLink support to offer as an alternative to Shiro and Spring.

that is a very good suggestion. I had taken a look at Camel 24 m
ago. It was spring heavy at least in the configuration.
Given that Fusesource has Camel, we should definitely work the
Camel/PicketLink angle.

Hi Bruno,
I took a cursory glance at Camel project last night. From what I
saw, they are trying to decouple Camel from Spring dependencies due to
demand.
Their latest version 2.10.x has CDI integration:

did Aerogear proceed with Camel integration? The reason I ask is
last week I was chatting with the fuse guys (James Strachan and Rob
Davies) and they were open to PicketLink integration.
Since Camel has CDI integration, I think there may be potential for
security integration in Camel with PicketLink.

Daniel from AG started a demo on it
https://github.com/danbev/aerogear-controller-camel-demo. I think it's possible to try
some integration with PicketLink.
