The current JCA component implementation directly only supports MappedRecord and IndexedRecord. Some JCA adapters (like IMS TM Resource Adapter) only support Streamable records as they transfer raw bytes. Streamable is standard javax.cci interface and can be supported with a generic handler like mapped and indexed record.
