While doing some banging on the editor I've discovered that hitting cancel in the Properties dialog in the editor does not have the desired result. If you make changes in the properties dialog and then decide you didn't want to make them after all and hit cancel, the editor was still marked with a dirty flag though no changes should have been actually made.
