This is in response to the realisation that we do not actually have anyone who can become ops on the channel owing to it being set up nine years ago by a stranger (to us). Why is ops important? Well, we cannot even set the homepage url in the join text! All other administrative channel functions are out of our control and its not recommended to run a channel without someone being able to op.
