[JBoss JIRA] (TEIIDDES-1446) Usability: Need to clean up how a user points a source model at a different database
by Van Halbert (JIRA)
Van Halbert created TEIIDDES-1446:
-------------------------------------
Summary: Usability: Need to clean up how a user points a source model at a different database
Key: TEIIDDES-1446
URL: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/TEIIDDES-1446
Project: Teiid Designer
Issue Type: Bug
Components: Usability
Affects Versions: 7.7
Reporter: Van Halbert
Fix For: 8.0
Was trying to redirect the source models at a different database. I thought it was first obvious to change the Data Source properties for each source model. But that had no effect. Then Barry indicated that I had to use the "Set Connection Profile" option. I then set the connection profile to use. But I had to close the project and reopen so that the PREVIEW... artifacts on the server were removed and got reloaded upon opening of the project.
I think from a usability standpoint, this needs to be changed. Especially since Designer depends on the connection profile so much, keeping and allowing editing of its own data source properties makes it confusing.

[JBoss JIRA] (TEIIDDES-1441) Cannot use deployed WAR with HTTPBasic authentication
by Ramesh Reddy (JIRA)
Ramesh Reddy updated TEIIDDES-1441:
-----------------------------------
Attachment: teiid-parent.patch
Attached patch should help with LocalConnections passing the security context through. Also, the usage must follow "Security at Data Source level" section in Admin Guide to create a "CallerIdentity and Trusted Payload" based login module with "PassthroughAuthentication=true" set to true. This setup with caller identity will create connection pools based on the logged in subject and teiid will do pass through auth.

> I created a WAR which specifies HTTPBasic security. My WAR definition specifies a role and the default realm (teiid-security).
> On the server, my datasource specifies PassthroughAuthentication=true. I have tried Security Deployment Types of None and Domain (where I specified the domain as "teiid-security").
> When I try to access the WSDL from the Web Services console, I am not being prompted for a username and password; I am just being denied (403).
> I've tried clearing the browser cache and bouncing the server.
> I'm attaching the datasource and WAR files.

[JBoss JIRA] (TEIIDDES-1442) The export and then import of the project set causes models to be invalid
by Van Halbert (JIRA)
Van Halbert created TEIIDDES-1442:
-------------------------------------
Summary: The export and then import of the project set causes models to be invalid
Key: TEIIDDES-1442
URL: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/TEIIDDES-1442
Project: Teiid Designer
Issue Type: Bug
Components: Import/Export
Affects Versions: 7.7
Reporter: Van Halbert
Attachments: Lab_0007.zip
See the attached project set.
Can reproduce by doing the following:
1 import the attached project set
2 models are invalid (the contents of some models maybe missing)
3 close and reopen project and the contents come back
4 clean and rebuild
5 export as a new project set
6 restart at #1
I have gone thru this cycle 5 times and yet to get a project cleanly imported. Which implies something is not being exported correctly.
Not to mention the contents of the models are missing sometimes after import and will reappear if the project is closed/opened.
