[JBoss JIRA] (TEIIDDES-1957) Odd behavior after "Save AS" and refactor
by Paul Richardson (JIRA)
Paul Richardson commented on TEIIDDES-1957:
-------------------------------------------
Not been able to repeat these problems.
I can use 'save as' to copy models to other projects. Once dependent models are also saved to the new project, I can edit the sql transformation to depend on the copied dependent models.
Looking at the attached project, the remaining error is due to an import statement missing at the top of the model. How the model has lost this, I cannot fathom or reproduce.

> Used Save AS to copy one model to another project. Then attempted to enter transformation sql, the sql contained references using a different model name so I refactored the new model. The open transformation editor would not revalidate. After closing, reopening, and rebuilding I then see "Unresolved reference errors". And those seem to be cleared after clearing those by simply reopening the editor.

[JBoss JIRA] (TEIIDDES-1958) Hang generating war
by Ted Jones (JIRA)
Ted Jones resolved TEIIDDES-1958.
---------------------------------
Resolution: Done
Copied the builtInDataType.xsd to the war resources folder to avoid the need for plugin resource resolution. The schema will only be added in the services that require the global data type schema.

> Working through the web test script to the point where generating a war was called for. Eclipse shows a processing dialog, but goes all grey and unresponsive. See the attached thread dump.
> Not this is in the same workspace as TEIIDDES-1957 so something else could be lingering.

> I am trying to create a file based source model using the "Flat File Importer". In the step one, I created a file connection factory and tried to create a source and view model based on TEXTTABLE creation wizard. This failed (this will be another defect once I figure out why). [JBoss JIRA] (TEIIDDES-1965) builtinDatatypes.xsd file is not found when running on a windows machine
by Ted Jones (JIRA)
Ted Jones resolved TEIIDDES-1965.
---------------------------------
Resolution: Duplicate Issue
> builtinDatatypes.xsd file is not found when running on a windows machine
> ------------------------------------------------------------------------
>
> Key: TEIIDDES-1965
> URL: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/TEIIDDES-1965
> Project: Teiid Designer
> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: Web Services Support
> Affects Versions: 8.3
> Environment: Windows
> Reporter: Van Halbert
> Assignee: Ted Jones
> Fix For: 8.3
>
>
> Bug: in windows: SimpleDatatypes in a model used for Web Service generation causing xsds to include an irresolvable import. It causes the xsd window to freeze until the import timeout and the CXF WAR to completely fail. Apparently the builtinDatatypes.xsd that resides in one of the Teiid designer's jars can't be found under windows which causes all the urLocation fields of the import to be used. Since the url is pointing to the old metamatrix.com site the problem arises.

Ted Jones commented on TEIIDDES-1965:
-------------------------------------
The issue is resolving the resource (builtInDataTypes.xsd) in the sdt plugin. The same issue has cropped up on Fedora and Mac too. TEIIDDES-1958 will resolve for all platforms. Marking this as a duplicate.
