Steven Hawkins commented on TEIIDDES-1667:
------------------------------------------
There are several aspects to this:
1. On the teiid side, we do not associate extension metadata with function models (as they
are parsed through a legacy direct xml parser), so any usage of a function model for this
purpose will fail.
2. I haven't reviewed the logic lately, but Designer was loading udfs directly into
the workspace metadata rather than through an index load. If that's still the case
you'd have to ensure the proper handling of all the extension properties there for
proper use in the workspace.
3. Assuming the use of a non-function model, the vdb needs to be verified that it contains
the proper extension.
